DAY 1- AIRPORT | NEGOMBO | LEISURE

Welcome to Sri Lanka, as you set foot on this beautiful island, you'll be warmly welcomed by a Chauffeur Guide of Hayleys Travels and transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Negombo.

DAY 2- NEGOMBO LAGOON BOAT TOUR | MILLENNIUM ELEPHANT FOUND. | SIGIRIYA

After breakfast, you will be taken on a Negombo Lagoon Boat Tour along the famous Muthurajawela Marsh.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Sigiriya enroute visiting the Millennium Elephant Foundation where you can have an up-close experience with the gentle giants. It houses elephants rescued from aggressive mahouts, and elephants retired from working in temples.

DAY 3- SIGIRIYA | HIRIWADUNNA

Your tour today will start early in the morning, you'll be visiting one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This enormous rock hill was formed from the magma of an old volcano.

Thereafter, you will drive to a village that lies lain around a reservoir located off the main Habarana road - Hiriwadunna. This is a typical countryside experience with bullock cart rides and rural vegetable cultivation.

DAY 4- KANDY | TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH | DANCE SHOW

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandy and you will do some sightseeing including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The sacred Temple of the Tooth is a vital Buddhist site that contains a tooth of Buddha which was collected from his funeral pyre also; this beautiful temple holds great ancient history and artefacts.

In the evening, you can enjoy the famous cultural dance show at 1700 hours.

DAY 5 - TRAIN TO ELLA

Today, you will catch a train to Ella leaving the Kandy station. The train routes in Sri Lanka are some of the most beautiful in the world. Travelers dream of taking the train to the hill country, through old pine forests and foggy tea estates. The Kandy to Ella train journey is one of the most scenic, epic train journeys in Sri Lanka. The views on both sides of the rail are breathtaking.

DAY 6 – RAVANA FALLS | NINE ARCH BRIDGE

After breakfast, you will be visiting the famous Ravana Falls.Hill country of Sri Lanka is quite popular for beautiful waterfalls and Ravana Falls is right at the top. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country.

Thereafter, you will be visiting the famous Nine Arch bridge which was built entirely out of brick, rock and cement; without a single piece of steel; the bridge has stood solid from 1921, its time of creation.

DAY 7- YALA / CAMPSITE + SAFARI

After breakfast, you will proceed to Yala and thereafter you will be taken on an afternoon safari through the Yala National Park. Grab your cameras and activate your eagle eyes to witness the leopards, elephants, wild buffaloes, musk deer, mongoose, pangolins, macaques and jackals and much more animals residing in this parkland.

DAY 8- CAMPSITE + SAFARI

Today, you will engage in some camping activities.

DAY 9- PROCEED TO MIRISSA / LEISURE

After breakfast, you will proceed to Mirissa for your long awaited beach stay and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Sandy beaches of Mirissa is known for its fantasies of tropical heaven and the secluded crescent shaped beach is like a hidden island that is a hideaway for many. It is also known for its sunsets and sunrises are is said to be one of the finest ever.

DAY 10- WHALE WATCHING / GALLE FORT / BENTOTA

Early this morning with packed breakfast, you will proceed for a whale watching activity at approx. 5.30hrs as the boat leaves at approx. 0530 hrs.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Bentota enroute visiting the famous Galle Dutch Fort and the Lighthouse. The Galle Dutch Fort is the slow beating heart of Galle’s history with the town growing greatly and spreading into the surroundings.

On completion, you will be taken on an optional Bentota river safari and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 11- WATERSPORTS / TURTLE HATCHERY

After breakfast, you will be engaging in a few water sports that Bentota has to offer.

Thereafter, you will be visiting the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery enroute to Colombo. Along the southern coast of Sri Lanka, the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery is one of 18 turtle hatcheries and the center functions mainly as a hatchery.
