Your tour today will start early in the morning, when you visit one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
You will then continue to the ancient city of Anuradhapura. This sacred city is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Overnight stay at Habarana.
After breakfast, you will go on a sightseeing tour to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a city with ruins of majestic palaces, king’s council halls, royal ponds and Buddhist shrines. Thereafter, you will travel to a village that lies by a reservoir located off the main Habarana road - Hiriwadunna. Here you will enjoy a typical Sri Lankan village experience.
Spend the rest of the day in relaxation.
Overnight stay at Habarana.
After an early breakfast, you will visit the famous Dambulla Rock Cave Temple.
Thereafter, you will visit the Matale Spice Gardens and the Alu Viharaya – a prominent Buddhist temple.
You will then leave for Kandy and enjoy a cultural dance performance in the evening.

After breakfast, you will visit the Embekke Devalaya - a Buddhist temple dating from the 14th Century, situated 13km from Kandy city.
Thereafter, you will leave for Gadaladeniya, a temple inspired by Dravidian architecture. You will also visit the Lankatilaka Temple, with its unique architecture.
Later on, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic also known as the Sri Dalada Maligawa. The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth protects Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha.
Overnight stay at Kandy.
After an early breakfast, you will leave for Mahiyanganaya, en route experiencing the Dambana Vedda village tour. ‘Vedda’ means “people of the forest” and this indigenous community have inhabited the Dambana forest for centuries. Observe the fascinating lifestyle of a forest dweller and how they have adapted to changing times.
On completion, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 07: SORABORA LAKE EXPERIENCE
Early morning, you will travel to the Sorabora Lake, where you will enjoy a picnic by the lake. As the sun rises over the serene Sorabora Lake, listen to the chirping birds and breathe in that fresh morning air, enjoying the true beauty of nature. Traditional lake fishing, a boat ride, a visit to the freshwater fish market at the edge of the lake, milking a cow milking and live cooking on a rock are some of the activities in store for you.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya, a beautiful town in the heart of the tea-country that is reminiscent of the English countryside.
Thereafter, you will go on a sightseeing tour and visit the Seetha Amman Kovil.
Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya
Today, you will leave on an early morning game drive through the Yala National Park. Grab your cameras and focus your eagle eyes to see the leopards, elephants, wild buffaloes, musk deer, mongoose, pangolins, jackals and countless other wildlife.
Thereafter, you will proceed to Galle and enjoy some sightseeing including the Galle Dutch Fort.
You will then leave for Negombo.
Overnight stay at Negombo.
Today as per the flight details, will be leave for the Colombo Airport via Express Way to catch your flight back home, full of happy memories of this island paradise once known as Taprobane.
