Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by a representative of Hayleys Travels. Once the customs clearance is completed, you’ll proceed to Kandy, en route visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Observe baby jumbos wandering around with their friends or being bottle fed and bathed by their mahouts at Pinnawala.
Overnight in Kandy
Today you will go on a city tour of Kandy - the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka. You will start the tour by vising the Dalada Maligawa -Temple of the Tooth Relic- where the sacred tooth relic of Buddha is being safeguarded since the end of the 17th Century. You will then travel to the Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya, which stretches over 60 hectares and features a wide-array of flowers and trees. If you're a fascinated by orchids, the orchid house at the Gardens is sure to charm you. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely walk around Kandy Lake, admiring its gorgeous surroundings. Enjoy a traditional dance performance at 1700 hours to end an eventful day.
Overnight in Kandy
After breakfast you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya also known as ‘little England’. A two-hour journey will take you to this town which boasts of scenic landscapes and a misty, cold climate.
Spend the evening wandering around Gregory Lake and Victoria Park enjoying the beauty of your surroundings. Don’t miss this opportunity to take a scenic boat ride or go horseback riding. Make sure you visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens too, the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka.
Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
You have the option of going on an early morning excursion with a packed breakfast to the Horton Plains - one of the most breathtaking locations in Nuwara Eliya. If you're lucky you'll even spot a red deer or two, purple-faced langurs, wild boar or some leopards. The World's End is a popular tourist attraction located at Horton Plains.
If you are not interested in a morning trek, you can visit the Sita Amman Kovil – a temple devoted to Sita, who according to legend, was kidnapped by King Ravana and brought to this location where she was held captive.
Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, you will leave for the coastal town of Bentota for a two-night stay by the beach. The golden sand and dashing waves of Bentota beach is guaranteed to make your sunny holiday filled with much fun and relaxation.
If you’re not too tired, visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project (Turtle Hatchery Bentota), where you'll get the chance to release baby turtles back into the ocean – an amazing and memorable experience indeed. You can end the evening with a leisurely stroll along the beach.

Spend the morning soaking up the sun or take a boat ride on the Madu River which passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka, leading to mangroves and marshland. A memorable day out on the serene waters of the extraordinary Madu River.
Thereafter, you will proceed to Colombo where you will spend the afternoon visiting Nelum Pokuna, Arcade - Independence Square, Pettah Floating Market, Gangaramaya Temple and Galle Face, concluding with shopping at Odel and Laksala. You can then opt for a city tour of Colombo by double decker bus, war-time jeep, cycle, or even a tuk tuk. You can even opt to take a walk along the busiest streets of Colombo, taking in the sights and sounds.
