DAY 01: AIRPORT | CHILAW

Ayubowan!

Warmly welcomed by a representative of Hayleys Travels at the Airport, you will travel to Chilaw to begin your tour.

Once checked-in to the hotel, you will spend the rest of the day relaxing.

DAY 02: CHILAW | MUNNESWARAM | KALPITIYA

After breakfast, you will visit the famous Munneswaram Kovil, a collection of five temples. Most popular amongst the Hindus, the Munneswaram Kovil is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Kalpitiya.

DAY 03: KALPITIYA

After an early breakfast, the Kalpitiya whale watching boat ride is a must. From the majestic blue whales to the sperm whales, and the ever playful dolphins – this is a treat not to be missed.

Thereafter, you will be taken on a Lagoon Safari in the Kalpitiya Lagoon.

DAY 04: KALPITIYA

Today you will be free to enjoy yourself as you please. Kalpitiya is rich in biodiversity, and you are invited to explore it, if you wish to. You could also engage in Kitesurfing, windsurfing or diving or simply spend a lazy day, relaxing.

DAY 5: KALPITIYA | WILPATTU

Today, you will visit the Wilpattu National Park. It is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Sri Lanka, spreading across 130,000 hectares of land.

DAY 6: WILPATTU | JAFFNA

After breakfast, you will leave for the Northern part of the country and continue to do some sightseeing including the Jaffna Fort, the Jaffna library, Point Pedro and the iconic Hindu temple, the Nallur Kovil.

Thereafter, you will check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 7: JAFFNA

After breakfast, you will visit the Delft island with its Portuguese Fort ruins and wild horses that freely roam around.

You will also pay a visit to the North's favourite beach, the Casurina Beach, lined with its signature trees.

DAY 8: JAFFNA | ANURADHAPURA

After breakfast, you will leave for the sacred city of Anuradhapura. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Buddhism's holiest places - chiefly because of the more than 2200-year-old Sri Maha Bodhi tree, part of the very same tree that Buddha found enlightenment under in India.

You have a choice of either relaxing by the hotel pool or visiting the Anuradhapura town.

DAY 9: ANURADHAPURA | YAPAHUWA | NEGOMBO

After breakfast, you will visit the Yapahuwa Rock Fortress, where it is believed the sacred tooth relic of Buddha was enshrined. The well preserved ruins are among the significant historical sites of the country.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Negombo and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 10: NEGOMBO

Early morning, you will visit the fish market and thereafter enjoy a boat ride along the Dutch canal. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 11: NEGOMBO / AIRPORT

Today as per the flight details, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home, full of happy memories of this paradise island once known as Ceylon.
